READY FOR A LITTLE OUTING

READY FOR A LITTLE OUTING

Bringing your own snacks is a great way to reduce packaging and avoid processed foods when going out. I find it very helpful to bring our own snacks to offer our four year old. We avoid buying packaged and processed snacks full of sugars. I’ve […]

WHY AVOIDING MEAT ISN’T A SIMPLE ECO-SOLUTION

WHY AVOIDING MEAT ISN’T A SIMPLE ECO-SOLUTION

The road to a sustainable future isn’t black and white. It’s filled with many different tones of grey. For example it isn’t as simple to avoid meat from your plate. Many people have heard about how polluting meat production is. And that is correct when […]

KIDS FRIENDLY REUSABLE STRAWS

KIDS FRIENDLY REUSABLE STRAWS

This is my newest addition of reusable and plastic-free straws. I’ve used stainless steel straws for a while but the long one doesn’t fit a kids size glass.

These stainless steel short straws from Eco-Straw are a perfect match for my son’s smoothie glass

They’re reusable, plastic free, dishwasher safe and come with a small bottle brush to clean the straws.

DON’T THROW AWAY THE END CUTS

The end of a spring onion that most people throw away, you can plant and they’ll regrow from it. You don’t even need a lot of roots intact on the end piece for it to grow. You can also grow them inside in a pot […]

POSING A BORROWED DRESS

POSING A BORROWED DRESS

IMG_4721

I’m posing for you guys 🙂 a borrowed dress for our Venice and Croatia trip.

Thanks to my lovely and stylish sister in law for lending several summer outfits to me.

It’s a great way to save money, time and the environment if you borrow outfits instead of buying new ones. It sure did for me.

Borrow from friends and family for special occasions instead at buying new. It’s a great way to save money and reduce waste.

Swapping my single use tissues for reuseable tissues. There’s not really more work other than throwing them in the mashing machine with a load. I’ve also put a couple of reuseable tissues in my sons bag and in the car. It’s important to have them […]
