HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR SMILE

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR SMILE

I thought it would be a great way to start 2017 with a beautiful big smile 😀 so I’ve compiled my best tips and recipes so you to care for your smile, naturally as well as reducing waste.

As a child, the health of my teeth was poor. Even though my mum was strict with sugar and I was a “good girl” brushing my teeth every morning and night, I experienced tooth decay often. I’m pretty sure it was the first signs or symptoms that my body wasn’t well nourished through my diet and/or my body didn’t absorb the crucial nutrients well.

Dr Weston A. Price performed extensive observations when he studied isolated tribes in various parts of the world. The world became his laboratory and when he analysed the foods used by isolated primitive peoples he found that they provided at least four times the calcium and other minerals and at least ten times the fat-soluble vitamins (A, D & K) from animal foods such as butter, fish eggs, shellfish and organ meats.

I first noticed an improvement with my teeth when I started flossing as a teenager. Then I noticed another improvement in my oral health when I quit refined flours and sugars several years ago. Refined flours and sugars promote tooth decay, raise your blood sugar level and deplete key trace minerals. I noticed that my gums stopped bleeding when brushing my teeth. Later, I started caring for my teeth and oral health by making my own toothpaste, mouthwash and I started oil pulling daily using natural ingredients and now my dentist says that my teeth and gums look even healthier.
